THE TEST is an award-winning short documentary that tells the story of a maintenance worker at a Virginia retirement community who dreams of becoming a US citizen to create a better life for his family. He enlists the help of two senior residents to prepare for the biggest test of his life: the US citizenship exam. What begins as an informal tutoring arrangement becomes a transformational relationship where these strangers become family.
